Marvell pledges aid to victims of Sichuan earthquake, cyclone nargis

Santa Clara, Calif. (ANTARA News/PRNewswire-AsiaNet) - Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL) today announced it will match employee donations with a company contribution of up to $1 million for victims of the disastrous Sichuan earthquake and the cyclone in Burma, also known as Myanmar. The Company, with close ties to and operations in China, expressed its deep concern for the two countries' citizens.

"Many of our employees are deeply worried about relatives and friends in China, and about the tragic effects of Cyclone Nargis," said Sehat Sutardja, Marvell CEO. "We have developed a plan to enable employees to make donations to the relief work in China and Burma, and we will match these donations with a company contribution up to $1 million.
