Business: MulvannyG2 Fujian Building showcased at World Architecture Congress in Shanghai

Bellevue, Wash. - MulvannyG2 Architecture's Ming Zhang, senior partner and design director, was invited to speak at the World Architecture Congress in Shanghai, China last month.

Faced with the challenge of China's rapid urbanization and unprecedented economic growth, the Congress explored best practices among Asia's top real estate developers, consultants and designers in innovative and sustainable development and design.

"MulvannyG2's iconic design highlights a commitment to energy conservation as well as technological innovation," said Zhang.

Zhang showcased MulvannyG2's design of tall buildings including Bellevue Towers in Bellevue, Wash., Jiangsu Provincial Electric and Power Company in Nanjing, and the award-winning Fujian Provincial Electric and Power Company in Fuzhou in his presentation at the World Architecture Congress held on June 25th.

The Fujian Power Company building is recognized as Sustainable Project of the Year by a panel of commercial real estate and design experts from across Asia.

Completed in 2007, this 31-story building with a 22-story high communications tower was presented the award in Shanghai this year at the Asia Pacific Real Estate Awards.

Zhang's presentation at the World Architecture Congress underscored the simple yet comprehensive design principles that MulvannyG2 employs to achieve results in saving energy, building corporate identity through design, creating a healthy interior environment, and improving the urban context.
