Tomoko Kotani joins BioReliance Corporation as Representative Director, BioReliance KK Commercial Office in Tokyo

Rockville, Md. (BUSINESS WIRE) - BioReliance Corporation announced today that Tomoko Kotani has been named Representative Director, BioReliance KK, the company's new commercial office in Tokyo. BioReliance Corporation is a leading contract services company that provides biologics safety testing, toxicology, viral manufacturing and laboratory animal diagnostic services to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries worldwide.
The company announced plans last March to establish a new commercial office in Tokyo, expanding operations to address the growth opportunities in the Asia Pacific markets. Kotani will be responsible for commercial operations in Japan. Based in Tokyo, she will report to Jarlath Keating, Sales Director - Europe and Asia Pacific.

Tomoko Kotani has more than 25 years of industry experience, all in Japan. Previously, she held several management positions within General Electric Healthcare Bio-Sciences KK including, most recently, Director of Business Promotion. Prior to that, she held various marketing positions at Ethicon Japan, Johnson & Johnson KK and Pharmacia Biotechnology KK. She also served as Assistant Councilor in the Science & Technology Councilor Office of the Swedish Embassy in Japan. She earned Bachelor of Agriculture and Master of Agriculture degrees in Food Science and Technology at Kyoto University.
