Technology: GroupM, Consilient to expand mobile email advertising in AsiaPac

Singapore and St. John's - CNW-AsiaNet/ - Consilient, the mobile software developer and GSMA top Mobile Innovation winner for 2007, today announced a business alliance with GroupM, the leading global media investment management operation. The alliance will see both companies collaborating to grow the mobile advertising market with a particular focus on advertising in push email. GroupM is the parent company to WPP media agencies including MAXUS, MediaCom, Mediaedge:cia and MindShare.

The alliance will enable both companies to cross promote their services and offerings to clients, end-users and mobile operators throughout Asia Pacific. GroupM will promote Consilient's Push(TM) email advertising service as an advertising channel to their agencies in the region. Consilient will provide support and preferred access for GroupM's clients within their Push advertising service which is commercially available through leading mobile operators in Asia Pacific.

Consilient's popular mobile email service, Push(TM), allows mobile operators to run a completely free advertising-funded consumer mobile email service. Both the service subscription fee and GPRS data charges are paid by advertisers, enabling consumers to access mobile email for free.

Consilient's mobile advertising server, AdSpotz(TM) delivers targeted advertising in push email services in addition to other popular platforms such as the mobile internet. SingTel in Singapore, AIS in Thailand, Telkomsel in Indonesia, Maxis in Malaysia and Globe in The Philippines have all chosen Consilient's Push messaging software as their preferred mobile solution.

The formal cooperation agreement between both companies covers the Asia Pacific region - including, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, China, Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, India, Vietnam and Indonesia.
